I started Rootedbookworks because I’ve always believed bookkeeping should be more than just numbers on a page. It should be a partnership built on trust, clarity, and care — the kind of relationship that lets business owners feel supported, confident, and free to focus on what they love.

Five years ago, I began working in accounting, and from day one, I realized something important: I loved helping people make sense of their finances, but I also noticed that many business owners felt overwhelmed and lost when it came to their books. Time and again, clients would say to me, “Jordan, why don’t you start your own firm?” Their encouragement, combined with my desire to offer more personalized, hands-on support, planted the seed that became Rootedbookworks.

Starting my own firm wasn’t just about being my own boss — it was about creating a space where business owners could feel understood, supported, and empowered.
